April 1, 2024: Families receive notification of enrollment status
After April 1, 2024: Families may continue to register on a rolling basis and be added to the waitlist on a first come, first serve basis
annual enrollment process
Online registration must be completed in the BASP Enrollment Portal by the appropriate spring deadline for each child who plans to attend BASP the following fall. Children retain their current schedule in the program if requested.
All children (returning and new) must register every spring for the following school year.
Only kindergarten to fifth grade students living in the Brackett School district can register.
In an effort to meet the needs of families, we allow children to enroll for only as many days per week as are available.
Online registration must be completed by the deadline.
Only children enrolled at Brackett for the 2024-25 school year may register for the program.
Remaining spaces are filled based on the following priorities:
1. Siblings of enrolled children (who are assigned the same days as their enrolled sibling).
2. Children enrolled for some days but still on the waitlist for other days.
3. Children enrolled for some days who request additional days.
4. Any remaining spaces are allocated to children who are on the waitlist, with priority determined by length on the waitlist. New applicants are put on the waitlist by a lottery. Once on the waitlist, applicants retain their slot as long as they continue to register for the program each spring.
Families will be notified by email of the enrollment/waitlist status of their children within a few weeks following the registration deadline. Families are strongly encouraged at all times to drop days they do not need as quickly as possible. Many families are on the waitlist and eagerly awaiting slots in BASP.
All withdrawals and reductions in schedule must be made by July 31, 2024. After that date, no withdrawals or reductions in schedule will go into effect until November 1, 2024. For changes effective November 1, notification must be received by October 1. Enrollment through the end of the current school year is required for a returning family to retain their space during the following school year

WAitlist
Children who do not initially receive the days they request will remain on the waitlist until all the requested days are available, or, if a subset of requested days becomes available, children may enter the program for one or more days per week, while remaining on the waitlist for the other days. Spots offered are determined by age groups and days of the week that become available.
Once on the waitlist, applicants retain their slot as long as they continue to register for the program each spring. Please note that it is not uncommon for additional slots to become open throughout the school year, as current children’s schedules change. The enrollment coordinator will present all of the options as days become available. If a waitlisted child is offered days and does not accept them, the days will be offered to the next person on the list. If an opening is declined, we cannot guarantee when a spot will again become available.
The enrollment and waitlist policy is subject to change, either per the direction of the BASP Board or the Town of Arlington.
TUITION AND FEES
BASP has a $50 registration fee charged immediately. If there is no space in the program, we will refund the fee minus a $5 processing fee.
Families with more than one child in the program receive a sibling discount of 5% taken off their monthly tuition bill.

Two days per week: $270
Three days per week: $405
Four days per week: $540
Five days per week: $675
* An additional extended-day surcharge of $30 per month will be charged for children enrolled on Wednesday, the early-release day .
financial aid
Our hope is that any child will be able to attend BASP, irrespective of financial means. If tuition presents a hardship for your family, we encourage you to reach out to us at billing@brackettafterschool.org for details about our financial aid program. We will review requests and do our best to meet needs in the context of our budget. Requests are handled on a need-blind basis and do not affect your spot in our program or on our waitlist. Financial aid is for one school year only and must be applied for annually.
